The Improve Teaching site looks best when viewed in Internet Explorer 9 or higher, Mozilla Firefox, or Chrome.
Internet Explorer / Edge
If pages are not displaying correctly,
Change Compatibility Settings:
- From the upper menu, select Tools > Compatibility > View Settings
- UNCHECK these two boxes:
- Display intranet sites in Compatibility View, and
- Display all websites in Compatibility View
Change Advanced Settings:
- Go to Tools > Internet Options.
- Select the "Advanced" tab.
- Select the "Restore Advanced Settings" button.
- Select the "Apply" button.
- You may need to restart your computer after this fix.
If you're having security or certificate issues:
- Go to Tools-> Internet Options-> Security.
- Select the Security tab.
- Click the Custom Level button.
- In the "Miscellaneous" section change Display mixed content to Enable.
- Click Ok.
Firefox
If pages are not displaying correctly:
- If the menu bar is hidden, press Alt to make it visible.
- From the History menu, select Clear Recent History (Ctrl+Shift+D).
- From the Time range to clear: drop-down menu, select the desired range; to clear your entire cache, select Everything.
- Next to "Details", click the down arrow to choose which elements of the history to clear; to clear your entire cache, select all items.
- Click Clear Now.
- Exit/quit all browser windows and re-open the browser.
Chrome
If you're having security or certificate issues:
If pages are not displaying correctly:
- In the browser bar, enter:
chrome://settings/clearBrowserData
- Select the following:
- Browsing history
- Download history
- Cookies and other site and plug-in data
- Cached images and files
- From the Obliterate drop-down menu, you can choose the period of time for which you want to clear cached information.
To clear your entire cache, select the beginning of time. - Click Clear browsing data.
- Exit/quit all browser windows and re-open the browser.
Safari
If pages are not displaying correctly:
- From the Safari menu, select Clear History and Website Data.
- Select the desired time range, and then click Clear History.
- Go to Safari > Quit Safari or press Command-Q to exit the browser completely.
